I just had an exposed fastener metal roof installed on my one room second level home which has a cantilevered roof. The reroof included a good underlayment topped with radiant barrier and perlings and then the metal roof. There is 3/4 inch for the heat flow above the radiant barrier. What kind of end cap can be used on the highest point of the cantilevered roof that will allow the heat to freely flow up an out, but also stop any strong rains from blowing directly back down the ridges and wet the underlayment and radiant barrrier? The standard end cap seals the ends, but doesn't allow for a free flow of the built up heat.

Bill, yes the panels can likely be removed and re-installed. You may have to replace some of the cut panels. What is beneath the metal panels now?
