Last week, a wet snow slid off our metal barn roof and ripped a section of gutter near a seam. To repair, I'd like to overlap the tear and seam with a short section of the same gutter, then seal the ends. But, I can't locate any gutter shaped like this. Has anyone seen such a gutter, or know where I can find a section?
Alternatively, any different suggestions for a DIY repair?!

I believe this is what is called a "Northern" style of gutter, commonly used on pre-fabricated all-metal buildings. This is something that a local sheet metal fabricator could probably re-create for you fairly easily if you can get them the correct metal stock. http://www.metallic.com/product-catalog/trim/
