We are about to embark on a large renovation project, adding an addition and a wrap around porch. Our contractor is telling us we have to remove our existing metal roof because the existing 22 year old metal roof may crack when they add the new roofing????

Benefits include cost savings and protecting the environment from the burden of torn-off roofing materials in landfills.
