So I got a two story concrete duplex with timber framing for metal panel roof. Hurricane Maria knocked out a NE corner of rain guttering, so that corner has broken panels and some under-drip allows for slight drip coming inside, dripping down wall.
Is there a video or book that's considered a Bible for the roofing impaired? My thoughts, based on slants put to me as marketing subject, include overlaying the existing roof with a rubberized "felt" that's got aluminum covering facing up. [I hear the sheets melted on during application.] Next, a foam board backing by EPS here in Hatillo would add an insular layer. A 20 gauge steel panel cut out available at a local steel fabricator is orderable--icing on the cake? COVID's got everyone's pannies in a wad, so this is to assist my self-dialog in settling which design is most suitable for this Caribbean climate, daily light rain, upper eighties during warm spells, etc.
The proposers [aka contractors] are all over with eccentric ideas, no consensus there, but this is early in the process, so I'm all ears.

There are a lot of good roofing books out there but every application has its own intricacies. For greater R Value you could consider poly iso rather than EPS. You also could put a later of synthetic underlayment on tope of the insulation.

How bout top 3 poly-iso manufacturers (so I can determine if that suggestion's applicable out here South of FL) + top 3 synthetic underlayment producers (LOCAL DISTRIBUTOR)?

I think that perhaps working with a commercial roofing distributor would be the place to start -- someone who sells various single ply roof systems like TPO and PVC. On the synthetic underlayment, it is pretty lightweight and easy to ship. I know that many manufacturers would be happy to ship direct. One I am involved with that would is www.roofaquaguard.com but I am sure there are many others as well.
