I have a existing barn with a metal roof, we are going to finish the top of the barn, it needs new siding and everything but that's not my question. My question is how do I instate the cieling/ metal roof. Can I put fiberglass batts right against it? Would there be a problem with condensation? The pic just shows a small portion of the roof, but you get the idea. Thanks in advance.20200511_192222.jpg

The risk is warm moist air, generated inside the new space, reaching the back side if the cold roof. If that happens, it condenses. Way to prevent this are vapor barriers, insulation and ventilation -- usually you need at least 2 of the 3 along with making sure there are no air leaks from the living space. Give me a call if you would like to discuss. 1-800-543-8938 ext 201
