I have bats in my house. I have a metal roof with a long ridge vent. The Wildlife company is putting a metal perforated screen (Pest-Blok) along the ridge vent. It screws into the metal roof. What do I need for them to do to ensure no water leaks thru those screws.Pest-Blok.docx

Regardless, though, to answer your question, I'd need to know lots more about what sort of trim is currently on your home's ridge. There is no universal type of vent. If they can secure it from the inside, that would be best. Otherwise, I would suggest getting the installer or manufacturer of your roof involved in helping to make sure the right things are done.
