We had a Gerard roof in 2002 installed. When it rains we have water coming out of soffit vents and also between gutter and fascia board. We had a roofer look over the nails and seal everything but still the same problem.
What can be done without installing a new roof?

That would not require removal of the roof. If the water is coming from underneath the roof panels, though, that is a different situation. If this is a batten mounted roof, it is pretty easy to open things up and determine what's going on so changes can be made.

All the valleys have water coming out behind the gutters.

Or copy this URL: https://www.metalroofing.com/spirit/comment/25077/find/I believe that is a batten mounted system. It sounds like an installation problem. And experienced stone coated steel installer should be able to lift panels as needed to figure out what is going on and determine a repair.

We like the looks of metal shingles. If we have the whole roof covered with peel and stick underlaymend it should be 100% waterproof?

There are of course various fastener holes through the underlayment. Also, ice and watershield on the entire roof requires a well vented attic space or closed cell spray foam in the attic. Metal shingles have been proven since the 1950s and even earlier. Like anything, they must be properly installed in order to perform as expected. Thanks so much.
